3 MAKE-AHEAD SMOOTHIE PACKS

Are you tired of the same breakfast options? Do you not have enough time to prepare breakfast before going to work? Do you feel like you are not getting enough nutrients? If your answer to any of these questions is β€œyes”, I suggest adding smoothies to your list of breakfast options. 

Smoothies are a great way to start your day off right. Why? Because they provide you with fruits, vegetables, probiotics and antioxidants. Moreover, they are easy to prepare and store. Smoothies can last up to a MONTH (or even longer) in your freezer.

Here is a list of some of my favorite smoothies. All you need to do is grab your ingredients, your choice of milk or coconut water and freezer bags or containers. 

SMOOTHIE #1 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of cherries 

  • 1 tbsp. of hemp seeds

  • 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder (I use Ancient Nutrition)

  • 1 tbsp. of Greek yogurt (I suggest adding this right on top so it sticks to the cherries and not the bag when you freeze it).

SMOOTHIE #2

Ingredients

  • A handful of spinach 

  • 1/4 cup of sliced cucumbers

  • 3/4 cup of sliced pineapple

  • 1/2 cup of sliced mango

  • 1/2 tbsp. of hemp seeds

  • 1 scoop of vanilla vegan protein powder (I use Dr. Mercola)

SMOOTHIE #3

Ingredients

  • A handful of spinach

  • 1/2 a banana

  • 1/2 cup of blueberries 

  • 3/4 cup of strawberries 

  • 1 scoop of vanilla vegan protein powder

  • 1 tbsp. of flax seeds

Directions

  1. Pull out your smoothie pack from the freezer.

  2. Add the ingredients to the blender.

  3. Add coconut water or choice of milk.

  4. Blend until you get your preferred consistency.

  5. Enjoy!
