Homemade Gut-Supporting Marshmallows
These marshmallows are a wholesome, gut-friendly treat made with nutrient-rich sweeteners and grass-finished beef gelatin. Unlike store-bought marshmallows, these support gut health, thanks to gelatin's role in promoting gut lining integrity. They’re also great for bone health, cognitive function, skin, and nails!

3 tbsp grass-finished beef gelatin ([Link for gelatin])
1 cup water, divided
1 cup sweetener (1/2 cup honey, 1/2 cup maple syrup)
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp fine sea salt
Instructions:
Prepare Gelatin:
Place 1/2 cup of water in a mixing bowl and sprinkle the gelatin over the top. Let it sit for a few minutes to "bloom" (absorb the water).Heat Sweetener:
In a small saucepan, combine the remaining 1/2 cup of water and the sweetener (honey and maple syrup). Stir occasionally over medium heat until the mixture reaches 240°F (“soft ball” stage) on a candy thermometer.Mix Together:
With a hand or stand mixer on low speed, slowly pour the heated sweetener mixture into the bowl with the bloomed gelatin.Whip Marshmallows:
Gradually increase the mixer speed to high and continue whipping for about 10-15 minutes, or until the mixture becomes fluffy and forms soft peaks.Add Flavoring:
Add the vanilla extract and sea salt and mix for an additional 1-2 minutes.Set the Marshmallows:
Pour the mixture into a greased or parchment-lined pan and spread evenly. Let it sit at room temperature for at least 4 hours, or until firm.Cut and Enjoy:
Once set, cut into squares and enjoy these gut-supporting marshmallows! Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
