BERRY CHIA JAM
Chia seeds are nutritional powerhouses that are very easy to incorporate into our daily lives. They are high in Omega-3s and fiber, which is why they are a great option to maintain a healthy gut.
Don’t know how to add more chia into your life? You can start by trying this delicious berry chia jam. It is an excellent choice if you’re trying to increase your chia intake. Plus, it’s a flavor-booster!
Ingredients
4 cups berries (I love to do half strawberries, half raspberries)
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 tbsp. chia seeds
Pinch of sea salt
Directions
PRESSURE COOKER
Add berries and maple syrup into pressure cooker.
Switch mode to non-venting, and pressure cook for 1 minute. Then, let it power down for 10 minutes.
Press cancel and release pressure.
Stir the berry mix.
Switch mode to sauté.
Add sea salt and chia seeds into the mix.
Stir the mix for about 4 minutes, mashing the berries carefully (using a wooden spoon or spatula)
Turn off pressure cooker.
Transfer jam into a jar, and put it in the refrigerator.
