Double Chocolate Chip Cookies-Using Fresh Milled Flour
Perfectly balanced with a hint of sea salt and crunchy walnuts, they make a delicious indulgence any time of day. Enjoy them alongside your morning coffee or as a wholesome breakfast option to kickstart your day.
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Grind 2 & 2/3 cups of soft white wheat berries into flour using a grain mill.
In a bowl, whisk together the fresh milled wheat flour, cacao powder, baking soda, and sea salt. Set aside.
In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter, sucanat, and honey crystals until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
Fold in the dark chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and chopped walnuts until evenly distributed.
Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets.
Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until edges are set.
Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
