Healthier Hot Cocoa

Here’s a healthier twist on classic hot cocoa! Our hot chocolate recipe is not only delicious, but it's also made with healthier ingredients that are good for both the body and soul. So grab a cozy mug and get ready to enjoy a guilt-free cup of hot cocoa that will warm you from the inside out!

Ingredients:

2 Servings

  • 2 cups milk ( I use 1 cup coconut milk and 1 cup water)

  • 5 tsp cacao powder

  • 2 1/2 tbsp honey crystals

  • pinch sea salt

  • 1 oz chocolate ( I used Theo organic milk chocolate bar)1 can coconut milk 

Instructions:

  1. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of coconut milk and 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat until it begins to simmer.

  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together 5 teaspoons of cacao powder, 2 1/2 tablespoons of honey crystals, and a pinch of sea salt.

  3. Gradually add the cacao powder mixture to the saucepan with the heated milk, whisking constantly to ensure it is well combined and smooth.

  4. Break the 1 oz of chocolate into small pieces and add it to the saucepan. Continue whisking until the chocolate has melted completely and the hot cocoa is smooth and creamy.

  5. Once everything is well combined and heated through, pour the hot cocoa into two mugs and serve immediately.Whisk together coconut milk, coconut oil, and salt and set to the side. 

Feel free to top it with whipped cream, marshmallows, or a sprinkle of cacao powder for some extra indulgence. Enjoy your healthier hot cocoa!
