Homemade Crockpot Chili

A simple, yet delicious meal that’s full of flavor and pairs well with just about anything.

  1. Ingredients:

    • 1 large onion, diced

    • 1 bell pepper, chopped

    • 4 cloves garlic, minced

    • 2 lbs ground beef

    • Seasonings for beef: garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, chili powder, a few flakes of crushed red pepper (optional)

    • 7 cans of a variety of chili beans (organic Bush's preferred)

    Instructions:

    1. In a large skillet, sauté the diced onion, chopped bell pepper, and minced garlic until translucent in the grease left from frying the ground beef.

    2. Add the ground beef to the skillet and season with garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, chili powder, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked.

    3. In a crockpot, combine the cooked beef and sautéed vegetables.

    4. Add the cans of chili beans (undrained) to the crockpot mixture.

    5. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

    6. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 2 hours, allowing the flavors to meld together.

    7. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious chili!
