NUT MILK

There’s no better way to ensure nut milk retains all its nutrients than by making it yourself. But don’t fret yet, making homemade nut milk is extremely easy, and it can be just as delicious (or even more!) as buying it from the store.

This almond milk recipe is a game-changer because it can always be modified depending on your personal preferences (maybe you want some extra sweetness) without having to compromise the amazing health benefits that nuts have to offer.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of nuts (soaked overnight)

  • 1 date

  • Pinch of sea salt

  • 1 tsp. vanilla

  • 4 cups water (preferably warm as it helps almonds break down faster)


Directions

  1. Drain nuts from the water where they were soaking overnight, and give them a rinse.

  2. Add nuts, date, sea salt and vanilla into a blender.

  3. Pour in water into blender.

  4. Blend the mixture until smooth.

  5. Pour milk into a nut milk bag.

  6. Strain milk through the nut milk bag, making sure to squeeze that bag as much as possible to obtain the maximum amount of milk.

  7. Pour into container of choice, and enjoy!
