ANTIOXIDANT BOOSTING SMOOTHIE

What’s better than a smoothie that is delicious AND rich in nutrients? Yep, it is hard to think of an answer.

This Antioxidant Boosting Smoothie is a great option for those mornings when you want something fast, yummy, and healthy.

It contains Brazil nuts which are often called “nutritional powerhouses.” Some experts say Brazil nuts are known as the richest food source of selenium, which plays an important role in our immune system. Furthermore, Brazil nuts are also great support for our thyroid.

In previous recipes, I’ve also talked about the benefits of blue spirulina, which is a superfood. Some of its benefits include helping lower the levels of cholesterol, and enhancing muscle strength, endurance, and performance.

This smoothie will BOOST your health and therefore, YOUR DAY!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk of choice (I use cashew milk)

  • 1 frozen banana

  • 1 cup frozen blueberries

  • 1 tsp. blue spirulina

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein

  • 1/2 cup Brazil nuts

Directions

  1. Throw the frozen banana and frozen blueberries into your blender.

  2. Add the blue spirulina, vanilla protein, and Brazil nuts.

  3. Blend until you get the perfect smoothie consistency.

  4. Put some blueberries on top for presentation and even more flavor.

  5. Enjoy!
