DIY Lotion Bar Recipe

These lotion bars are great for soothing dermatitis, psoriasis and eczema. They are also anti-aging and create a protective barrier for the skin. Use a 1:1:1 ratio of beeswax, butter(s), and oil(s). This ensures a perfect texture and consistency every time.

Ingredients:

  • 1 part beeswax

  • 1 part blend of shea butter and cocoa butter (½ part each)

  • 1 part blend of oils:

    • ⅓ part coconut oil

    • ⅓ part Babassu oil

    • ⅓ part lavender-infused oil

  • Sweet Dreams essential oil blend (optional, use 1% of the total mixture)

Instructions:

  1. In a double boiler or a heat-safe bowl over simmering water, melt the beeswax, shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil, Babassu oil, and lavender-infused oil.

  2. Stir the mixture until fully melted and well combined.

  3. Add the Sweet Dreams essential oil blend, stirring to incorporate.

  4. Pour the mixture into molds or a container of your choice.

  5. Allow the lotion bars to cool and harden completely before use.

Feel free to experiment with different combinations of butters and oils to find the perfect blend for your skin. The 1:1:1 ratio is versatile and ensures a smooth and effective lotion bar every time.
