HOMEMADE TRAIL MIX

Sometimes it can be hard to think of healthy snacks that are tasty and easy to make. Well, this homemade trail mix recipe checks all the boxes!

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup almonds

  • 3/4 cup pecans

  • 1/4 cup cashews

  • 1/4 cup walnuts

  • 1/2 cup pepitas

  • 2-4 tbsp. fresh rosemary

  • 2 tbsp. melted butter or coconut oil

  • 2 tbsp. maple syrup or honey

  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

  • Pinch of cardamom (optional)

  • Optional add-ins: dried mango, raisins, dates, or any other dried fruit

Directions

  1. Place all nuts, pepitas, and rosemary in a small mixing bowl.

  2. Melt butter, sweetener of choice, and cinnamon together.

  3. Once melted, pour over the nut mixture.

  4. Toss and stir until the nut mixture is well-coated.

  5. Bake at 325° F for 5 minutes, stir again, and bake an additional 5 minutes.

  6. Remove from the oven and add in any dried fruits you choose.

  7. Enjoy your homemade trail mix!
